They were able to change my Z to a classic since it was 19 years old with a stated replacement cost of $25,000. I basically put together a list of all the modifications on my car with the current replacement value based on current internet prices and added the book value for the car. I knocked the total replacement cost down somewhat to $25,000 because some of the items had been on the car for a few years. I then had to take the car and the list to a local Nissan dealer where they wrote me a letter (on their letterhead) stating that the replacement cast would be what I stated. State Farm then change my policy to a classic car since the car is 19 years old and the olny other thing I needed to provide were some pictures of the car.
